Learning to Follow Jesus
Attribute 4: Learn to influence
Step 4: Speak directly

Scripture Memory:Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.” -Matthew 28:18-20

Bible Scripture: Acts 2:14-41; 8:26-40

Summary: God’s Holy Spirit landed on Peter at Pentecost, and he preached boldly. That’s not what we’d call “feel good” preaching, yet as a result of Peter’s boldness, three thousand people were saved and baptized in one day.
The Gospel (Good News)
1) God loves us.
2) We have sinned.
3) Jesus died for us for our sins.
4) I need believe and decide to live for God.

Challenge for this week:
Share the good news with someone.

Bible Scripture: Luke 5:27-32

Summary: Jesus called Levi to follow him. Levi left everything behind and followed Jesus. He held a banquet (party) for Jesus and he invited all his friends to come to meet Jesus.
Be a genuine friend and care for those who don’t know Jesus.

Challenge for this week:
Be a genuine friend and work on a characteristic on the Good friend check list.
Share your story with someone and invite them to church

Bible Scripture: Luke 15:10; John 9:1-34
Summary: Jesus healed a man born blind. He shared his story with three different times and tells them that Jesus heal his sight. He was blind and now he can see because of Jesus. It’s powerful to share your story

Challenge for this week:
Practice sharing your story of what God has done in your life with a family member.
Share your story with someone and invite them to church

Bible Scripture: Luke 15:10; John 1:40-46
Summary: First thing Andrew did after he met Jesus is to share with his brother Simon Peter. Peter became one of Jesus’ disciples through his brother Andrew.
Invite friends and families to church especially if they don’t know Jesus. Just invite them and let God do the rest.

Challenge for this week:
Invite someone to Church next week, someone from the “Tell the World” card that you listed.

Bible Scripture: Matthew 10:1-8; 1 Corinthians 12:4-11; Romans 8:28; Acts 3:1-10
Summary: Peter and John healed the paralytic man in front of the temple courts.

They heal people as Jesus healed. Jesus gave us the authority to heal people. You have that same power to heal others. Jesus has given you the authority to heal people.

Challenge for this week:
Continue to pray for healing (Yourself, Family, Friends, Teachers)

Scripture Memory: “Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you.” –Matthew 7:7
Bible Scripture: Mark 2:1-12; Mark 6:5-6; 1 John 1:9
Summary: Jesus healed the paralytic when He saw their faith.

There are a few points you can take away from this story:
1) Asking God to heal on the behalf of your friend
2) Ask God in faith to heal. Know that when you bring the problem to Jesus. He will do the rest.
3) Continue to pray even though it doesn’t get answer right away.

Bible Scripture: Matthew 8:14-17, Isaiah 53:4-5, Romans 6:23, 1 Peter 2:24

Summary: Jesus healed Peter’s mother-in-law and he healed many other by casting out demons, blind, mute, deaf, sick, lepers and he healed all of them.

Jesus didn’t just come heal physical sickness but he brought healing to our soul and save us from sin.

Challenge for this week:
Continue to pray for healing (Yourself, Family, Friends, Teachers)
